Low cost, easy to machine material ideal for prototyping
Why use ABS?
- Good impact strength
- Good stiffness
- Good impact resistance
- Easy to machine
Common ABS applications
ABS plastic is a low cost engineering plastic that is easy to machine and fabricate; available in either off white or black stock shapes. ABS is an ideal material for structural applications when impact resistance, strength and stiffness are required. It is often used in prototyping because it is easy to machine, readily painted and glued.
At Controlled Fluidics, we use several varieties of ABS, including:
- ABS rod up to 1’’ diameter
- Metal detectable ABS sheet up to 0.180’’ thick
|Grade||Product Characteristics||Common Applications|
