Polysulfone

Polysulfone machined parts remain stable, while resisting creep and deformation under continuous load and elevated temperatures to 300F. They have high tensile strength with a flexural modulus that remains high as temperatures increase. Dielectric strength is good with excellent radiation stability. Polysulfone plastic parts will resist exposure to soap, detergent solutions, hot water, steam and some hydrocarbon oils under moderate stress levels. Since it is self-extinguishing, polysulfone often replaces Polycarbonate when steam sterilization, higher temperature levels and chemical resistance is considered. Polysulfone Is a light amber material which is readily polished and bonded.

Why Chose Polysulfone?

  • Dimensionally stable
  • FDA compliant
  • Clear amber or black in color
  • Steam resistant
  • Low outgassing
