PVDF PLASTIC MATERIAL & MACHINING

SELF-EXTINGUISHING, CHEMICALLY RESISTANT, & EASILY MACHINED COMPONENTS

People turn to PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) when they need a high-performance engineering thermoplastic that has excellent qualities: high chemical resistance, mechanical properties, and thermal stability. Made of repeating units of vinylidene fluoride, this fluoropolymer consists of strong carbon-fluorine bonds that give this polymer its unique combination of properties.

Often known by its trade name, Kynar®, the resin features several remarkable capabilities. It can self-extinguish, having a great flame resistance. PVDF/Kynar® has low water absorption, high-purity, and it works in a wide range of operating temperatures reaching extreme levels. It's popular in chemical processing, biomedical research, and electronic components.

Watch the video below, and get to know PVDF in under 1.5 minutes. Still have questions? Reach out to our team of experts!

  • Low water absorption
  • Low permeability
