WHAT SEPARATES US FROM THE REST

As a premier certified plastics machine shop with 60+ years of combined team experience, Controlled Fluidics meets the needs of our customers across numerous specialized industries. Our ISO registration and adherence to specific industry-relevant standards prove our commitment to high quality and providing the best plastic machining services for research, diagnostics, medical, life sciences, and  many others. As one of the top manufacturers of precision plastic manifolds and components, our  material selection breadth and customization capabilities beat the standard offerings from others. Also our depth of assembly support and integration expertise for subassemblies positions us as more than just a machining vendor: we're a "one-stop" solution.

Our solutions-focused services let us have a collaborative and proactive approach to finding pre-production flaws and implementing cost reduction strategies to ensure that you have a high-quality device made within your budget (unlike some other more "transaction-focused" producers). What's more: you get your products on-time

DESIGN SUPPORT THE DRIVES SUCCESS

At Controlled Fluidics, we use our extensive DFM expertise to guide and collaborate on custom fluidic solutions, including:

  • Full design (re)engineering for big ideas that need guidance,
  • Rapid design review to analyze ready-made model for any opportunities for optimization,
  • Material expertise of 30+ different plastics (even exotic plastics) to ensure your product gets the most suitable material.

SPECIALIZED CAPABILIITES FROM MACRO TO MICRO

Microfluidics and other related areas are experiencing explosive growth due to their efficiency in science. However to make such devices, a manufacturer needs experience micromachining to tight tolerances, microscopic channels, and working with submillimeter components. What would need this type of exacting plastic machining?

  • Point-of-care diagnostics
  • Personalized medicine and delivery devices
  • Drug discovery
  • Minimally invasive surgical devices
  • Clinical mass spectrometry

Several other industries use our micromachining capabilities to minimize components that take up less space while providing the same function as its predecessor. Let's explore how we can reduce risk while helping you introduce the next phase of innovation.

ALL OUR SERVICES INCLUDE

  • PRE-PRODUCTION SUPPORT
We help you sort out the bugs and consider alternatives that can reduce costs and unnecessary complexity.
  • SOLUTIONS FOCUSED SERVICES
We work hard to create the most effective and cost efficient plastic machined components or bonded manifold solutions possible.
  • PLASTICS MATERIAL RESOURCES
When cost, mechanical properties, and chemical resistance matter, we use our extensive resources to find the right material for your project. If conventional materials won’t support requirements, we turn to custom-blended plastics for out-of-the-box solutions.
  • DESIGN HANDLING & VALIDATION
Need assistance on the design front to accelerate the product launch? We can help. The Controlled Fluidics team and our newest partners at Flow Circuits can assist with component and assembly level design.
  • ACCESS TO OUR TEAM'S 60+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Speed your launch to market by taking advantage of the team's depth of experience.

  • REAL ANSWERS TO DFM CHALLENGES
We provide design assistance to confirm manufacturability even when it pushes some boundaries. If not possible, we will help you find a practical solution.

  • ASSEMBLY SUPPORT
Today’s clients often need support beyond the traditional machined plastic part. Our engineers are familiar with many component suppliers and best practices to integrate into your final subassembly.

  • QUICK TURNAROUND ON TIGHT TIMELINES
Short lead times are a common challenge in a manufacturing landscape focused on driving innovation to market. Controlled Fluidics is committed to supporting our customers on even the tightest timelines when feasible.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US

"We are very happy with the first work order that was successfully completed Tuesday. As we stated earlier, please thank those involved in manufacturing these parts. Our production folks are thrilled about the results using CF parts (we had no failures!) and looking forward to defect free parts on future orders."

Environmental Testing Company

"Everything has been going great! We installed both the pump and input manifolds onto an instrument and have run a few cartridges so far. The data is good and the pressure profiles from the pumps are also good. I'll continue running cartridges and keep you updated."
