Nylatron GS: Self Lubricating Nylon for Precision Machining

PLASTIC WITH A LOW COEFFICIENT OF THERMAL EXPANSION

Nylatron GS is a molybdenum disulphide (MoS₂) filled nylon 6/6 engineered to enhance mechanical and thermal properties while maintaining chemical and electrical characteristics. Its self-lubricating nature and resistance to oils, greases, and solvents make it an excellent choice for components like bearings, gear pads, and wheels in environments where lubrication is impractical or contamination is a concern
  • Enhanced Strength and Rigidity: Has improved mechanical properties over unfilled nylon 6/6, increasing durability in high-load applications.
  • Low Coefficient of Thermal Expansion: Maintains dimensional stability across wide temperature variations, reducing the risk of seizure in applications with bearings.
  • Self-Lubricating: The MoS₂ filler provides built-in lubricity, granting components the ability to operate with minimal to no external lubrication.
  • Chemical Resistance: Resistant to oils, greases, most alkalis, solvents, and organic acids, making it suitable to work in various industrial environments.
  • Good Insulating Properties: Maintains electrical insulation capabilities; beneficial in applications requiring dielectric strength
