Polysulfone
Stable and creep resistant material ideal for medical components

Why choose polysulfone?
- Dimensionally stable
- FDA approved
- Steam resistant
- Low outgassing
What are some common polysulfone applications?
- Aerospace components
- Automotive components
- Medical research devices
- Life science applications
Polysulfone manifolds and machined parts remain stable, while resisting creep and deformation under continuous load and elevated temperatures to 300F. They have high tensile strength with a flexural modulus that remains high as temperatures increase. Dielectric strength is good with excellent radiation stability. Polysulfone plastic parts will resist exposure to soap, detergent solutions, hot water, steam and some hydrocarbon oils under moderate stress levels. Since it is self-extinguishing, polysulfone often replaces Polycarbonate when steam sterilization, higher temperature levels and chemical resistance is considered. Polysulfone Is a light amber material which is readily polished and bonded.
